[IDEA] How can we attract non-technical volunteers?

At the 9/18/23 meeting, we discussed how the website was not just meant for developers, but for any person who is civic-minded. We should think about doing some UX research around this. Is our website friendly for non-technical prospective volunteers? For example, we discussed how even mentioning Github can scare people away.
