VS Code crashes when using GitHub Copilot with PowerShell extension active

Prerequisites

• I have verified that I am using the latest version of Visual Studio Code and the PowerShell extension.

Summary

Visual Studio Code crashes/resets when GitHub Copilot is used while the PowerShell
extension is active. This creates a conflict that causes complete VS Code restarts,
interrupting workflow and causing potential data loss. The issue appears to be an
extension compatibility problem between PowerShell and Copilot.

Additional observation: Crashpad errors occur when running VS Code CLI commands.

3. Attempt to use GitHub Copilot (suggestions, chat, or completions)
4. VS Code crashes and resets

Expected: Copilot should work normally alongside PowerShell extension
Actual: VS Code crashes/resets when Copilot is triggered

I cannot reproduce, copilot and PS work just fine for me. Have you tried a fresh profile with only the PowerShell and Copilot extensions loaded? Also you only included the event log of your computer which shows lots of Microsoft Edge crashes. Please see the instructions for submitting the logs and we can look further.
