Playlists

At the moment, the list of playlists is kinda fine with about 10 playlists. But more, it's becoming an issue.

Here the changes I would like to do:

• regroup playlists and smart playlists
• in the sidebar, only show the user's favorite playlists (not to be confused the playlist of favorite songs)
• when clicking on the Playlists menu, in the main panel:
  • show the playlists in an Icon view
  • add folders to regroup playlists
  • clicking do navigate the into a folder or display a playlist
  • add cover to playlist
  • add icon to indicate if it's a normal playlist or a smart playlist

What do you think?

You mean like the albums? What would the cover be - the cover of the first track of the playlist, or user-customizable? I'm open to the idea, but I think the playlist name would be more representative than the cover, so I would probably prefer a list view.

I'm open to merging these into a single view and indicating which type of playlist it is.

Yes this is quite handy for organisation. But would mean adding more file-explorer-like features to the playlists. And the playlists scanner would have to be recursive and support sub-folders.

Yes, I kinda renamed it because it won't be specific to albums...
