I seem to be encountering a weird issue when I run make -f Static.make

I have the Xcode 5.0.2 and CLI tools installed.

Thanks for reporting. So far I've only tested on Linux. Searching for a solution, I came across this:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3801011/ld-library-not-found-for-lcrt0-o-on-osx-10-6-with-gcc-clang-static-flag

which suggests that the -static flag may be the problem. I'll see if I can figure out a workaround for OS X.
