Asset minification

There are several plugins to do this now that can be researched:

• http://wordpress.org/plugins/assetsminify/
• http://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/
• http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-minify/

Notes:

• 3rd party plugins that auto-enqueue local scripts get the same benefit
• scripts enqueued in the header vs. footer should be respected (e.g. html5shiv, modernizr)
• is it right to enqueue a .coffee, .sass, .less file in WP? My gut says no...
• should the solution be a plugin that intercepts, or part of a build process?
• there should be distinction between either WP_DEBUG or WP_ENV
