is it safe to remove the kde5 metapackage?

I switched to kde5 some time ago, before 6 was even a thing. But seeing as we have 6.5 available in repos now, would this make sense?

My motivation for this is that i just tried to update and some part of kde (not sure what yet) tried to pull in a whole bunch of kde5 packages, as follows:

i'm currently checking with xbps-query -XR but it's taking a while...

mark kde-plasma as menually installed with xbps-pkgdb -m manual kde-plasma first, then yes
