This isn't due to any verifiable performance gains, and I know that given our current representation of property values, switching to
f32doesn't reduce memory usage. But I know from looking at Parley thatf32is sufficient for these properties, so it's cleaner if we can eliminate the casting tof64(and possibly fromf64back tof32in some adapters).
